An increase in the aging population has placed a demand on the health care industry for Nurses’ Aides. Since the state requires that an examination be passed prior to a Nurse Aide being certified, it is imperative that a knowledge base in long term care and appropriate skills are mastered.

Some of the main job skills that a student will learn are as follow: taking and recording vital signs; measuring and recording height and weight; resident bathing, grooming and feeding techniques when necessary as well as encouraging socialization of residents.
